I've not stayed in the PodPads but I've been right next door in Tangerine Fields for the past three years. Having camped in the general campsite in '05 and '06 I'd highly recommend splashing out on the Green Campsite if you've got the money. So much more space, it doesn't get too muddy even if it's wet, shorter queues for the toilets (they even have portakabin style ones - luxury!), there's extra security at the entrance and fewer scumbags. Makes the whole weekend much more enjoyable.

How much does it cost to get the Tangerine Fields deal whereby your tent is set up before you arrive with an air matress and sleeping bag? It says €100 online but everyone who's been there has said €60! Definitely doing Green Campsite this year to avoid the moronitis disease that spread so rapidly through the Red/Blue campsites last year.....Waking up to 2 guys pissing on our tent whilst I was asleep was just a wonderful experience, but it doesn't top my friends exciting time of when some guy/eejit took a **** on their tent, whilst they were inside......I hate the excuse people give then when you point these disgusting facts out : "Ah but it's Oxegen!!" Just because it's Oxegen doesn't mean you should discard all human decency and act like a complete rehtard!!! lol!

Last year was my first year at Oxegen and I stayed with Tangerine Fields, couldn't fault the whole camping area, the workers and all were fantastic. Me and my cousin went for the tent with the air bed and sleeping bags, between us it was £150. It's gone up to £170 this year for the 2 person package and £380 for the 4 person package, I sent them an email to check prices last week. I'd definitely recommend it, we had no bother at all, I'm looking forward to going again this year. Plus not having to carry all your tent gear should be worth it alone.

well stayed at oxegen camping last year blue campsite. went with loads of friends and my boyfriend ( who hada broken foot at the time) somebody stole his crutches and the first aid wouldnt even help us. we went to the emergency tent toget him crutches they wouldnt help. The bouncers were a joke . my boyfriend spent 240e basically to sit in a tent for the weekend worst experince of my life. Oxegen and its staff were totally useless and didnt want to help anybody who has went will know its a fairly far trek back to the buses and that and he had to do that limbing along with bags was a disgrace!. The was numerous amounts of staff in cars going about and refused to give him a lift.  Dont get me wrong i still had a good time but the help at Oxegen is honestly a joke!!
The campsite is disgusting but all part of the fun. if i go back this year defo getting a pod pad  althhough they are dear 365 for the double bed one's for the weekend i hear?
anybody know what the teppees are like and are they far away from the arena? campsite has to be done once but dont think i could stick another year in a tent! plus on our last night people were lighting them on fire!!

You can't get tickets for the green campsite. You have to buy a regular ticket for the Red/Blue campsite, then book either a PodPad, Teepee or Tangerine Fields package. When you arrive you show your ticket and your camping booking and they give you a wristband for the green campsite.

i know what you mean about staff at these things a friend mine dislocated his knee when we were at a ac/dc concert in punchestown, took 20mins for a car to collect him to take him to first aid tent to pop his knee back in place. it took them 3 attempts to put it in place then bandaged his knee up and told him to see a doctor when we got home as it would need plaster paris. we asked for crutches and would not give us any as it was consider a weapon! he had to hop about to but ended up sitting in first aid tent for the concert waiting till it finished to get the 4hr bus jouney back to donegal. staff were a joke and even told him he couldn't sit in first aid for the concert and asked him to stand outside were it was pissing down and he couldn't stand up by himself without help.

So you can't just bring your own stuff to the Green Site and stay there...?

No - you have to pay one of the companies in the green campsite for their accommodations

Like joeyd79 said, you can't just turn up with your own stuff.

There is a section of the green campsite for family camping where people bring their own stuff, but you have to a) have kids with you and b) contact MCD in advance to arrange to get in there.

We stayed in green last year and used on one the Yurts...was an excellent choice. Totally safe and comfortable if only a bit pricey. Worked out at 200euro each, this year we are gonna take the recession style of a tent but still staying in green. Everyone really sound and not a bit of hassle at all no matter what time of the nite/day you went back for a bit of kip. See you all in green...

just been reading all the comments on the green campsite people, im planning on doing that this year, can anyone tell me if when staying in the green campsite having booked it, can you still take your trays of beer into your chosen accomodation, like the red/blue sites?

I mean we are renting a tent from Tangerine Fields.....well that was the idea but we have booked a Kocoon from Festival Village. As for if the podpads are worth it....they cost the same as a mini Yurt and tiny in comparison. The mini yurt is 6 foot high and 11 foot wide....the podpads look like dog houses in comparison.

no such thing as green tickets you just buy the blue or red option and present the ticket on arrival to the green reception area with your accommodation invoice and you get your weekend wristband. Sorted..!!
